Holophasec’s Executive President and CEO is an accomplished and seasoned veteran of technology companies, having taken numerous new technologies and ideas over the past 25 years from start up through to commercialization and profitability, with many culminating in successful public listings on exchanges in the USA, Australia and UK and or strategic trade sales.

He founded Skai Computer Systems Pty Ltd in 1983, which he successfully managed until, 1999 when he negotiated the sale of Skai to a company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. At that time he became Chief Operating Officer for the Group and was instrumental in the listing of one of its subsidiaries on the American Stock Exchange and the ongoing planning and implementation of business and investment strategies.

Michael was appointed to the board of a London Stock Exchange listed company in 2002 where he was actively involved in the planning and implementation of the restructuring of the company, its assets, including the sale of property in the UK and its re-listing onto the LSE AIM Board.

Christoph Karl La Due ‘Chris,’ is the inventor of the Holophasec technologies. He is a prolific research scientist and an internationally recognised inventor with over 60 registered patents, many of which have been commercially developed and successfully deployed.

Chris’ areas of expertise include theoretical and applied physics, telecommunications, symbolic structures in human and machine language constructs, system self-adaptation, general systems theory and continuum mechanics. His patents contain hundreds of inventions that relate to communication systems, virtual communication networks, satellite and terrestrial telecommunications technology, artificial intelligence and virtual reality systems.

Instrumental in the establishment of the technology research and development activities of the company, Chris is dedicated to the development of new technological paradigms that relate to embedded electrical grid telecommunications, secure voice and data communications, virtual reality systems as applied to network management, video game engines, novel forms of symbolic language coding for communication networks, and the like.

 

Brian Joffe

Executive Director, Strategy & International Development

Graduating with a Bachelor of Economics and Political Science, Brian Joffe then undertook a Graduate Traineeship at Investec Bank Ltd. in South Africa. Brian migrated to Melbourne, Australia in 1986 and joined the stock broking firm North Ltd. He co-founded Shaw Stock Broking, one of Australia’s premier private client stock broking specialists in 1991. Brian sold his partnership in Shaw Stock Broking after 11 years and then founded a Derivatives and Options business, which he successfully operated until its eventual sale in 2005.

He subsequently formed Joffe Capital as its Founding Chairman, specializing in High-level Protected Equity Loans and advising on Capital-Raising and Structuring of Private Equity Ventures leading on to IPO or Trade Sale. Joffe Capital has offices in Singapore, Melbourne, Australia and San Jose, California.

Brian has acted in an advisory role for the Symstream Technology Group Ltd (an Australian Wireless Technology company) where he assisted the company to successfully raise over US $35 million dollars.

 

Adam Reed

Engineering Project Manager

Adam Reed is an electronic engineer and product developer. His career started at Transco Products in Marina Del Rey, California, a leading subcontractor in Aerospace and RF communication technologies. He then joined a startup product development team at BBE, a spinoff from Barcus Berry Inc, as a development engineer. BBE was formed to develop a unique line of audio processing gear, designed to correct imperfections in sound reproduction.

He designed the BBE Model 2002, a consumer-level audio processor that won a CES product innovation award for excellence and was the first of a line of successful BBE consumer products. Mr. Reed became a founder and Senior Development Engineer for Applied Laser Systems, an electro-optics design firm specializing in application of visible-light diode lasers. ALS was one of the first producers of red laser pointers and weapons aimers. Mr. Reed was granted two patents covering the technology and production methods used in production of the laser diode module.

 

Robert Arnot

Robert’s industrial career began at Sandia National Laboratory where he held a position on the Technical Staff serving as a Product Development Engineer.  In this capacity, he directed a team of technicians in a state-of-the-art manufacturing and testing facility, developing product design ideas and the associated manufacturing procedures, followed by transferring the design and manufacturing technology to defense system contractors throughout the country.

Following a thirteen year employment with Sandia National Laboratory, Robert redirected his talent to the academic teaching world.  Robert has held faculty positions at Cal Poly University and at The Oregon Institute of Technology, teaching in the Department of Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology.  Robert has over a decade of teaching experience including being a tenured Professor at The Oregon Institute of Technology.

 

Jack Barakitis

Chief Operations Officer

Jack has been involved in the development, implementation, and management of intellectual property for over 21 years. A Boston native, Jack began his career as a systems Engineer for the Frederick J. Kozacka High Power test laboratory in Newburyport Massachusetts. He developed and implemented test protocols to comply with Underwriter Laboratory standards for both Gould Electronics products as well as nationwide third party manufacturers.

His career path led to government contracts with MFM Technology in product development of Winchester removable media hard drives involving re-engineering logic controls to managing burn in procedures utilizing Cambrian systems. Government contracts  with RADAR technologies continued with developing RF, IF and LOG amplifiers for the Sparrow missile systems. Managing strict military standards from hybrid radar assemblies to final burn in test procedures.

With the ever changing technology environment in the New England area Jack shifted to computer server administration, configuration and development for Digital Equipment Corporation. Managing server testing procedures via Ultrix and DEC Net ethernet topologies.

 

Sharon Wong

Vice President - Asia

Sharon Wong Vice President - Asia for Holophasec, responsible for marketing, alliances and operations. She has over 13 years of experience working with large multinational organisations in Asia Pacific across numerous industry sectors.

In her early career, she gained in-depth corporate business experience with leading global companies Arthur Andersen, Cap Gemini and SAP, where she worked closely with senior executives and business leaders in the Human Resources function. She continues to build her knowledge and understanding of businesses in the recent seven years through the recruitment of regional and global hires across multiple functions at the middle to senior management level throughout the Banking & Financial Services, Information Technology & Telecommunications, Professional Services, Government, Oil & Gas and other industry sectors.

 

Alex Wong

Company Secretary & Chief Financial Officer
 
Alex holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Law degree from Auckland University and a Masters in Tax from the University of NSW. He is a member with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, an associate with the Securities Institute of Australia, a Certified Financial Planner and Registered Tax Agent.
 
His career started in 1977 with various chartered accounting firms in Australia and New Zealand, specializing in taxation matters. In 1985, he was appointed National Australia Bank’s (NAB) Taxation Manager in corporate taxation. In 1992, he was transferred to National Australia Financial Management Ltd as Taxation Manager providing advice on financial planning, superannuation, estate planning, fund management and property investment advice. In 1998, he was transferred to NAB’s private banking as the Senior Manager of Taxation providing advice on general and international taxation matters, where he remained until 2000 when he left to establish his own company.
 
As a presenter/lecturer at the Securities Institute of Australia (SIA) for the Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning, he runs numerous workshops for the SIA in taxation and tax reform. Alex is also a part time lecturer in taxation law at Australian Catholic University and RMIT in the faculty of Accounting and Law. In addition, he has taught Malaysian and Singaporean tax laws in their respective universities.
