Robert’s industrial career began at Sandia National Laboratory where he held a position on the Technical Staff serving as a Product Development Engineer.  In this capacity, he directed a team of technicians in a state-of-the-art manufacturing and testing facility, developing product design ideas and the associated manufacturing procedures, followed by transferring the design and manufacturing technology to defense system contractors throughout the country.

Following a thirteen year employment with Sandia National Laboratory, Robert redirected his talent to the academic teaching world.  Robert has held faculty positions at Cal Poly University and at The Oregon Institute of Technology, teaching in the Department of Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology.  Robert has over a decade of teaching experience including being a tenured Professor at The Oregon Institute of Technology.

Prior to his involvement with Holophasec Technologies, Robert served for three years as the Project Engineer at StrawJet, Inc., a sustainable building materials start-up company in Southern Oregon.  Working directly with the inventor of the technology, he was responsible for interpreting the design ideas and providing the mechanical and manufacturing engineering input for all of the StrawJet system equipment.  The Strawjet equipment development cycle was successfully completed during this three year period.  

Robert holds a B.S. degree in Engineering Technology and an M.S. degree in Welding Engineering.  Robert brings to the team a uniquely open mind and a wealth of technical expertise.
